Each person took enough cloth to cover their body as a shroud

About this record

A contributor using the name El Sadek recalls leaving the sit-in with their children on 13 August and learning of the dispersal the next morning. The account describes assembling at Alf Maskan, seeing white fabric distributed for use as shrouds, and walking towards other gathering points. It recalls human chains, gunfire, aircraft overhead and attempts to reach people near the sit-in. The writer says they left to rest without knowing the sit-in would end. The text also alleges that the withdrawal of ambulances was deliberate, but presents that as something learned later rather than a directly demonstrated fact. This distinction must be retained in any fuller English edition.
